Job Profile

A data analyst shall carry out an array of tasks. He/she will be ideally required to observe, record and report on various ongoing games or games that have been recently concluded. He/she will also consistently key in the data into Sports Lens's proprietary software where all the information are fed and later used for bringing out combination of reporting solutions of a player / game / team. He/she will be responsible for the accuracy, validity & relevance of the data captured.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To compile and maintain databases of all international sports activity (majorly Cricket, Kabaddi, Badminton, Olympic events).
• To create strengths and weakness critique of opposition - written, statistical and visual presentations (Of all sports mentioned above in the doc).
• Manage and Maintain the data archive for future use (as per the company standards and requirements)
• Analyzing of the extracted data to arrive at trends and patterns of the subject.
• Develop and make presentations on the data analyzed with client based specifications
• Shall have to record, code and tag videos of games pertaining to the roster sheet allotted at the beginning of every month
• Will be required to work on shifts based on client requirements and will be notified of change in shift timings well in advance
  • Managing and tracking all accounts and finances

Eligibility Criteria

• Proven experience as data analyst or business data analyst
• Graduate in Maths or Statistics or Master in IT / Sports Science would be ideal.
• Knowledge of analytical tools (SQL, Tableau, R Programming, Statistica, Weka, etc)
• Sound knowledge on Excel, Power Point & other MS Office suit software
• An enthusiasm for sport
• Ability to understand and analyse statistical data and can present their results in a clear, concise and understandable format to non-specialists.
• Having experience of playing cricket would be an advantage (for Cricket analysts).
• Adapt at queries, report writing, & other findings.
• Exceptional planning, coordination and organisational skills.
• High level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and influencing skills.
• High level of IT skills is expected.
